Dr. Timothy R. Bevis, M.D.

Dr. Timothy R. Bevis was born and raised in Statesville, North Carolina. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2002. He completed his internship at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in 2003, followed by his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2006, where he was honored as Ophthalmology Resident of the Year.
During his medical training, Dr. Bevis volunteered his time at health fairs and rural clinics in Guadalajara, Mexico, as well as in Miami and the Florida Keys. His dedication to patient care extends beyond borders, and he is also fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Bevis moved to Greensboro in 2006 and opened his private practice in 2008. He is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract and lens implant surgery, offering advanced options such as toric, extended depth of focus, and multifocal lenses. He also provides comprehensive care in all areas of general ophthalmology. Dr. Bevis is an active member of the North Carolina Medical Board.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Bevis and his wife are involved in their church community. They enjoy spending time outdoors, and share a love for hiking, traveling, and spending time with their two daughters and their dog Dexter. Dr. Bevis especially enjoys golfing whenever he gets the chance.
